I've had a very bad week. So now that the new one has started, technically speaking, I'm hoping for an improvement.

Thanks dray. Merde indeed. I got some bad news about my health and that spiraled my mood down 'til everything seemed dire indeed. I talked to my mum today, called her from work even, and now I'm feeling better. 40 years old, and mummy still can comfort me. :) Mind you she spent her working life in hospitals so is uniquely qualified in this.
I'll do a post on this whole thing sometime this week.
